Can't recommend this enough!
If the starting fight scenes in chapter one that don't focus on Izuku right away seem long to you, just stick with it. I promise it's worth it and it gives the whole story sooo much depth!Izuku's war trauma is treated pretty realistic (flashbacks, difficulties looking at people he lost) so the story is kinda sad/dark at some pointa, but it makes for delicious angst! The writing is amazing! One of the best I've ever read! Everything that happes is incredibly realistic on all characters' parts.

Izuku steps towards the other teen, holding his hand out to shake, “I’m Midoriya Izuku by the way. We haven’t officially met yet, right? I don’t remember seeing you at the Entrance Exam?”
The blue-haired boy pauses, studies his hand uncertainly before shrugging. “Shirakumo Oboro,” he introduces in return, hand phasing right through Izuku’s when he goes to return the handshake. Shirakumo doesn’t seem surprised by it, but Izuku whips his hand back when the intense chill climbs up his arm.

Izuku tries to pretend eveything is okay even though his homelife is crumbling around him, there's an insanely powerful Quirk that's not entirely his coursing through his veins, he suddenly knows his childhood hero, All Might, and to top it all off, he seems to have befriend a pastel blue-haired ghost that has way too much insider knowledge on Izuku's new homeroom teacher, and English teacher. He's really just trying to survive Yuuei...

Izuku can see ghosts, but cause no one ever believed him and his mom thinks he's weird, he hides it. Meets Oboro on first school day, who's always following Aizawa or Hizashi, become friends.
Great Dadzawa and DadMic. EraserMic very cute and in-character.
Canon events more spaced out, only relevantly changed scenes shown (incredibly well-done, zero repetitive).

I don’t want to die...
But he’s already made his decision; you can't come back from this. He stares wide-eyed as the ground gets closer and closer as the seconds tick on, eyes squeezing shut as he waits for impact. He awaits the consequences of his own stupid actions and then—
I don’t want to die.
—and then he opens his eyes and he’s stood peering over the edge of the building he’d just fallen from. Beside him, his shoes are tucked neatly on the ledge, backpack leaned on the ground beside them just as he’d left them. Izuku blinks owlishly, leaning forwards to stare ten stories down. Ten stories down where he’d just been a moment prior, only seconds away from hitting the ground.
He’s... back?
And that’s the first time Midoriya Izuku realizes that he does, in fact, have a Quirk.

Midoriya Izuku has always been written off as weird. As if it's not bad enough to be the quirkless weakling, he has to be the weird quirkless weakling on top of it.
But truthfully, the "weird" part is the only part that's accurate. He's determined not to be a weakling, and in spite of what it says on paper, he's not actually quirkless. Even before meeting All-Might and taking on the power of One For All, Izuku isn't quirkless.
Not that anyone would believe it if he told them.
