Vox's eyes widen slightly when a message from Velvette pops up on his hud. He projects it to a thin blue hologram in front of him and reads through it.
‘Be in my studio in the next thirty minutes and DO NOT forget to install your inhibitors. I will be checking.
Don’t piss us off on your first day.’
…Right.
Vox stares at the message a little longer before swiping it out of his face. His first day as their assistant.

Summary
Baxter's contract with the Vees means that even though Vox is out of commission, he's still beholden to their whims. This is a manageable prospect when Baxter's being asked to do some work on Vox to make his...current state more user-friendly, but it's not such a manageable prospect when Val starts coming on to him.
(AKA: Val calls Baxter into VoxTek to "fix" Vox, menacing and hitting on him the whole time, until he finally decides to just take what he wants if Baxter's not going to give it to him.)

Summary
