The curse had been silent since Yuji had reclaimed his control over his body, but that was only from the perspective of an outside observer. There was no telling what Sukuna was up to while hidden in a place Choso’s ears couldn’t reach.

As the energy in his body continued to return, Yuji was able to list his other hand for comparison. The fleeting hope that this was some illusion by his addled mind or a trick of the light dispersed the moment both limbs were in front of him. His other arm possessed scales as well, mirrored almost perfectly. A single, hesitant touch from his shaking hands confirmed that they weren’t merely ink or paint upon his skin.
These traits, they weren’t normal.
They weren’t human!
“What h-happened to me?” Yuji stammered, choking as the impending wave of panic. His own eyes felt as if they were about to fall out, unable to remain still in his head while his vision flickered about for answers. His heart and lungs sought to match such untamed mania, but before his blood pressure could rise any further, a deep voice spoke out to see that his body returned to a state of calm.
“Steady yourself, and I will explain it.”
❤ Yuji could have sworn he died. Then again, if he had died, he wouldn't be around to contemplate it, now, could he?

“Oh, I know I’m crazy, Doll.” He took another slow drag, and pulled the joint away from his lips. Smoke curled around his face. His eyes gleamed with something sharp and calculating. “That’s what makes me so dangerous.” He grinned before he added, “but then, you like danger. Don’t you?”

Yuji would have gone back to see his grandfather and endured his usual lectures and demands for him to be anywhere else if the hospital had better ways to save him from the heat. But alas, it wasn’t meant to be. All Yuji had to relieve himself was a lukewarm shower and his poor desk fan… No. If the sound of a slow, grinding sputter before absolute silence filled the air, then Yuji came to the horrid conclusion that there was no longer a desk fan.
“Just open a window.” Sukuna had said, shrugging off Yuji’s plea for a trip to the store. But the bastard just had to suddenly be ‘frugal with his spending’ and ‘mindful about their energy consumption.’ Both comments were made with a satisfied smirk at the sight of Yuji panting in the living room, shirt torn off and arms spread wide, accepting his fate of a slow and painful death all because not a single wisp of air could be bothered to wind through their house.
