Summary
Simon comes back to himself in parts and by the time his brain comes back online while he’s cleaning his hands of brake dust and grease it’s too late to look away. MacTavish is leaning over Simons personal motorcycle to paint, one leg hiked up on the seat obscenely, his mohawk pulled into a little ponytail that’s begging to be grabbed, and that ass, that perfect fucking ass is literally falling out of the bottom of those god damn shorts. Simon can do nothing but stare, his mouth open under the mask, practically panting at the way the light coming from the open garage bay doors highlights every single muscle in the other man’s back and thighs.

Summary
"I don't know how to do this," Simon admitted, voice cracking. "I don't know how to mean something to someone."
"I'm painfully aware."
"I panicked," Simon said. "It got too real and I panicked. Clearly, I'm fucking terrible at staying away because I didn't last a week before crawling back, but the only thing scarier than meaning too much to you is not meaning enough. I don't want to be your goddamn pal or your lieutenant or the fucking Ghost to you."
Johnny couldn't look him in the eyes, couldn't peer into his blown-out pupils because he already felt too fragile under Simon's frantic stare. He inhaled through his nose, nerves twisting his stomach into knots.
"What do you want?" he asked, barely audible over the tremble in his voice.
"I want to be everything. I want you to feel like you can't breathe when I'm not around, I want you to forgive me for acting like a grade-A arsehole and a coward the past few days," Simon breathed, dropping his forehead to Johnny's and letting his rain-soaked lashes fall shut. "I want to be Simon and I want all of you, always, until someone finally kills me and puts me out of my misery."

Summary
"Tomorrow we're allies," Ghost said. "But I make no promises for the future. If I see you again on the wrong side of the fight after this mess is over, I won't hesitate to pull the trigger."
"Neither will I," Konig agreed. "Let's hope it never comes to that. Something tells me Johnny would be displeased if I killed his new pet."
The colonel was pushing his fucking luck, putting Johnny's name in his fucking mouth as if he had any right to it. Ghost dug his fingers into the stitches Johnny had so carefully sewn into his palm last week to keep himself in line.
"Your first mistake is assuming he wouldn't pull the trigger with me," Ghost said, hoping to wound Konig at least a little. Was it true? He had no idea.
"Maybe," Konig shrugged. "It's been a while since I've known him. You, on the other hand...that mask hides less than you think."

Summary
Soap's fingers fumbled with the edge of his shirt, lifted the hem to his collarbones, showing off the expanse of scarred, muscled skin. There was a red spot on his side, small flecks of black and blue already rising to the surface. Ghost's eyes diverted from the affected area of skin for just a moment, taking in the hard planes of Soap's toned abdomen, the pink slashes of healed-up scar tissue.
The urge to reach out and touch him hit Ghost like a freight train. He was tied to the tracks and the wheels were barreling right over him, making a mess of his blood and guts and grinding them into bits. Ghost clenched his fists to suppress the desire and cleared his throat, choking down his panic over the unexpected reaction.
"You're bruising already," Ghost said. "Should probably get ice on that. Sorry, I didn't realize how rough I was being."
Soap grinned. "I'm a big boy, a little roughhousing never hurt anyone."
"It hurt you. Literally."
He turned to look at Ghost then, eyebrows raised and a smirk on his face. "A wee bit of pain isn't the end of the world. I prefer it, under the right circumstances."

Summary
Soap lacked a scent, and it made Ghost’s mind wander. What would it be like if he smelled straight from Soap’s neck? Would he be able to catch a whiff of pheromones, or a hint of his natural musk? If Ghost scented him, how long would it stick? What if Ghost came on his neck, would he—
He stopped tapping his pen. Ghost reeled at the abrupt shift in his thoughts, uncertain where the fuck that had come from.
Okay, sure. Soap was, objectively, attractive. With his long eyelashes, baby blues, pouty lips, high cheekbones, tight little ass—
Okay. Ghost had to calm down. It wasn’t appropriate to harbor these sorts of attractions for his subordinate.
But…what was the harm in fantasizing?
++
Soap, a beta, is used to being left in the dust by alphas who are just looking for a quick shag. But how can Ghost convince him that he wants more, that it's not just a fling?
