Summary
Alone and pregnant, abandoned by the father of her child and the man she loves, Sophie chooses to swallow her heartbreak and forget all about Benedict Bridgerton. Never fully understanding why he would suddenly turn his back on her, leaving her to raise their son alone. Only, it turns out, the reason he abandoned her in the first place was because he quite literally forgot who she was.

“Sophie’s at the apartment right now. She’ll be so relieved to know you're awake,” she then said as she smiled at him, using her hand to gently continue brushing Benedict’s limp hair off his forehead.
But Benedict’s smile only twisted higher as he frowned up at her, the first sign something was wrong, and he gave her a confused smirk. Like she’d said something funny that he didn’t understand.

Or, when the heir to Rattay still can't sire a child one year into marriage, he comes begging for Henry's help. Henry thinks the task is simple, if insane: shoot a few loads in Jitka, then make like the wind so nobody suspects him.

A week after the liberation of Suchdol, Hans Capon suggests a hunting trip to Henry. With a plan in the back of his mind and a poem prepared in case things go wrong, he thinks it will be the perfect chance to put words to whatever this thing is between them.
Except, Hans forgets who they are, and forgets that things can never be simple.
A surprise attack leaves Henry injured and out for the count, Hans loses what little cool he had left, and the planned discussion goes nothing like planned.
