It's stupid. Atsumu isn't a romantic, no matter how many times he's imagined laying Sakusa out and finally really touching him.
So there's no explanation for why Atsumu is constantly stuck thinking about brushing his fingertips against the meat of Sakusa's palms or the prominent tendons in his freaky wrists.
There's no explanation for why doing dishes sets off a warm burn in his ribcage, or why when he smells disinfectant he inhales like he's walking past a bakery.
Yer doin' this to me, he thinks furiously, as Sakusa derails his thoughts with kisses that come more and more frequently now. Yer conditionin' me, and I can't stop it.

“Atsumu?” Sakusa managed to whisper, his hand trembling on the frame. “Dear God. What the hell happened on that camping trip?”
“What?” Teenage Atsumu asked back. “No, I’m looking for Atsumu. Is he here? Can I talk to him?"
One minute, Miya Atsumu is in 2010, fighting with his brother over who gets to hang out with Suna after school. The next, he's in 2025, lost in a brand new city, and very, very intrigued by the wedding ring on thirty-year-old Suna's finger.

“He never draws back, after the age of around seven or so he stopped. I left drawin’ after drawin’ with no response fer years and years. My twin even covered my arm with dicks and stuff and he didn’t respond.”
Atsumu swallowed thickly,
“He--uh-- I guess he might be a clean freak if ya think about it like tha’... and maybe he didn’t like all those drawings I left him.”
Sakusa, without breaking eye contact, said,
“I’m sure they made him smile once or twice.”
