"That's a great idea you've come up with," Ron scoffs. "Putting those two in a room together for Merlin knows how long? Sorry, Remus, Kings, but that's madness. Neither of them wants that, and it won't be conducive to their work."
"Ron..." Remus begins, but Malfoy cuts him off.
"Actually," he says calmly, "it was all my idea."
Hermione can't help but stare at him, her mouth agape.
"As I'm sure you can imagine, Weasley," he continues, though his eyes never leave her, "I have a personal interest in seeing Granger's efforts crowned with success one day. And until then, I would like to support her. Not only with the knowledge I have acquired, but also with my body."

Hermione's heart is beating indecently fast. She masks her fascination with a sceptically raised eyebrow.
"Anything," she echoes.
"Anything," he confirms.
"All right, then. For starters, I'd like you to stop crowding me against this bookshelf."

“In my shop?” He leans his hip against the counter and crosses his arms over his chest. “Commerce, I expect.”
