Summary
“Feel like givin’ in yet?” Zanka murmurs into his ear as he leans down, his voice slithering its way down his spine the way Jabber imagines silk would, if he’d ever felt it.
“‘Course not,” he answers easily, harshly smothering a shiver as Zanka places a firm hand on his neck, sliding it up to his head to press his face harder into the ground. When he tries pushing against the hold, he’s met with Zanka’s unforgiving grip, and heat slips down to between his thighs like the horrible thing it is. He can’t move, and that’s bad, obviously, but he’s so warm, so hazy, so gooey that he doesn’t think he’d move even if he could. Zanka was just—just so strong, so unyielding, so impossible to ignore that Jabber feels like he can’t breathe.
“Thought so.” He sighs dreamily. “That’s what makes ya so perfect for me.” His voice is so soft, almost reverent, as he speaks, and it makes what he does next all the more staggering.
In a swift yet brutal yank, he dislocates Jabber’s shoulder.
Jabber manages to run from his "problems", but only for a little while.

Summary
Zanka’s last battle with Jabber left him ravenous, a hunger not to be fulfilled by anyone—or anything—else.
When they fight this time, Zanka pushes. He prods and pokes and swings and slams, does everything he can to be everything Jabber desires because he wants that, too, and maybe he pushes too hard because in one moment, they're standing on what he thought was solid ground, and in the next, they're falling.
When they land, though, it isn’t where they should be.
Jabber and Zanka meet alternate versions of themselves.

Summary
“So? What happened on the last mission that has you so…like this?” She motions to Zanka’s general being, and he sighs.
“It’s…” He starts, then pauses, his brow furrowing as he tries to figure out how to word it. His ‘revelation’—while shocking—wasn’t actually all that life-changing, in the grand scheme of things. Or, at least, not in any ways that actually mattered. Still, Zanka found that he couldn’t stop thinking about it. It haunts him, that scent of sea salt and earth, so intense in his memories that it was almost as if he could still smell it if he idled for long enough. “It’s stupid,” he says eventually, shaking his head in a useless attempt to clear the thought from his head.
“It obviously isn’t, seeing as it has you this stressed out. Come on, just tell me what he did already.” She pushes, elbowing him playfully in the ribs. Still, though, he hesitates, shaking his head again.
“No, Riyo, I’m tellin’ you, it ain’t somethin’ ya need ta worry—”
“You found out that Jabber is an omega, didn’t you?”
Zanka finds out that Jabber is an omega, and it doesn't change much at all. It's not as though Jabber smells really nice or anything like that. Definitely not.

Summary
“How long do ya plan on runnin’ for?” Zanka asks eventually. Jabber ignores the way his heart trips in his chest.
“As long as it takes for you to lose interest.” He retorts, taken aback when Zanka snorts.
“Yeah, that ain’t happenin’ no time soon, not now that I know what I know.” It’s a horrible, terrible, revealing answer that leaves Jabber feeling stripped bare. His finger twitches, Mankira practically burning his skin with her eagerness. She wants to tear the smile straight off Zanka’s face, and Jabber wants to let her. He almost did, back in the trash beast, where she sprang into action the moment the raider got those damning words off his tongue.
“Yer a masochist.”
Jabber feels his lip curl into a sneer. “You don’t know shit. I enjoy a good damn fight, not whatever fantasies you wanna have about me.”
An almost deranged grin splits Zanka’s face. “Yeah? Why don’t ya go on an’ prove it ta me, then?” And in the next second, Mankira has deactivated, and Jabber throws the first punch, straight at Zanka’s face.
Zanka discovers something about Jabber that Jabber would rather ignore. Zanka won't let him.

Summary
Abruptly, he feels goosebumps break out across the skin of the back of his neck; little pinpricks of heat that indicate eyes on him. Glancing to the side, he finds Zanka looking at him. Observing him. Tracing the line of his spine with his ocean blue eyes, up to his shoulders, down to his waist, then back up again. Jabber swallows thickly, his throat bobbing with it, and Zanka watches that, too.
“So?” The vampire says—asks?—and Jabber blinks at him, uncomprehending.
“…Huh?” He responds, feeling horribly slow.
“Are ya gonna let me drink yer blood?”
Jabber stumbles across a vampire drinking someone's blood on the walk to his college, and isn't as put off by this as he should be. Zanka is incredibly hungry.

Summary
He forgets how to breathe, and Hii shouting in his ear, telling him to press up against the wall and to let him take over, isn’t helping him relearn.
A head pops through his window. The individual has a hoodie slung over their head, but Fu can see long, heavy wicks hang out from underneath. They obscure the person's face, and Fu thinks that he’s surely going to die.
“Heyy, I had a feeling this was the right window!” An unexpectedly familiar voice exclaims. “What's up, Fu?”

Post Information-Broker Arc. Jabber breaks into Fu's room at night via Zodyl's imaginary request and tries to bring him back to the Raiders. Things don't go as planned, but he most definitely doesn't leave empty-handed.
