It was actually Hua Cheng, but Xie Lian didn’t know how to bring that up. It wasn’t as important as everything else—gardens, flowers, silver butterflies, and sorting out his dreams from his perilous reality. Hua Cheng made space, and Xie Lian let him.
Dead god, very dead follower. It was almost funny.
He wasn’t sure what to do, seeing as he didn't plan to ascend once more, or plan to hold power over a kingdom again. Xie Lian wasn’t staying forever. The mountain would open up, and he would leave to become something catastrophic. Or he would finally disperse. Who was he to say?

Shane and the woman turn to assess the new arrival. It turns out that his seat partner is well above six feet tall, ripped as hell, and knows how to deliver an excellent bitch face. He’s also the hottest man that Shane has ever seen in real life, including a chance run-in with Jensen Ackles at a Stars game.

Summary

It is an incredibly frustrating thing, to have the knowledge of how to do something, without the practical skill needed to do so.
Viktor had tried several iterations of a new brace for his leg with what he had at his disposal, but all of them lacked the strength for true support, let alone longevity. This one had outlasted all the others at least, but had given out at what had to be the most inconvenient moment possible.
At least it is still mostly holding his weight, and he takes care to shift his cane tight to his hip to provide as much help as possible after he feels the give and bend of one of the bars. “Shit.”

There was a small silver latch keeping the box closed, but once it was slid open, the contents of the box were revealed: sitting upon some crimson velvet were a couple of small pills. They were hardly the size of a fingernail, gold in color, and rather unassuming otherwise.
“What are they?” Xie Lian asked, leaning in.
“Child bearing pills.”

Since their fates have crossed, Xie Lian decides to help San Lang after discovering the child bearing pills he has are fakes, but it seems San Lang has his own ideas as to how Xie Lian could help.
