SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 9!!
' She can’t help her mind wandering though, back to a topic that’s been a frequent visitor in her mind for weeks now, relentlessly pounding against her skull.
Caine had come up to them two months prior, practically glitching with excitement, sharing that they may be able to potentially heal abstraction. He wasn’t positive, but he’d been working closely in the digital files of the Circus lately, giving himself something to do in between their regular activities. He found that the files of their lost friends still existed, but were corrupted, damaged, though fixable, if he was looking at it correctly at least. He couldn’t promise anything, but he had hope that they could actually do something.
This had caused excitement to rise within the group, eyes sparkling and discussion rampant. Voices had overlapped each other, and Pomni couldn’t help the heaviness on her chest of their most recent cast member lost lightening a bit at the positivity of the group, eyes drifting to the large circus tent he resided in most days, when he wasn’t in the aquarium with the others. '

You hooked something a little too big to reel in. You were the calmness and he was the chaos. To Sebastian, you were an anchor in the hellish sea of his life after escaping the Hadal Blacksite, and to you Sebastian was an oncoming storm threatening to overturn the boat of your simple seaside life. Neither of you were expecting your initial meeting, and to be honest neither of you are too happy about it either.

Eddie never was a planner, but his new life necessitates having some idea of where he’s going, and when he’ll get there. He’d like to think that makes him more mature, but he’s still flying by the seat of his pants when it comes to the big picture. Getting his CDL was a way to escape Hawkins. To see the country, even if he’s mostly seeing long, lonely stretches of interstate in between depots.
There are bright spots. Hazy desert sunrises that make him want to write a sad song, and the occasional free evening to take in a show, meet some locals. Follow a pretty girl to her apartment if she’ll have him.
Most of the time, though, life comprises shitty diner burgers and far too little sleep. It's a lonely existence, but it suits him fine, until the night a strawberry-blonde ponytail at a gas station in Kentucky stops him in his tracks.

"Ha! He's just pissed cause he can't deny it, not to your face," A092 jeers, clapping you on the shoulder. You immediately throw her hand off. "You'd give up every scrap of data on you just to hook up with the guy, wouldn't ya, champ?"
You don't respond. Her grin widens the longer you say nothing.
There's a significant pause as Sebastian realizes that you don't intend to refute her statement. The smile on his face disappears, making way for flattered disbelief.
"Oh," Sebastian breathes, voice high with surprise. "You would. You–?"
You stomp over to the table and slam the stack of documents down. "I'm gonna go ahead and scout the next room," you mutter, picking up your diving gear and crawling into the vent. The sound of A092's mocking laughter follows you on your way out.

The Old Testament, which was dripping in blood and guts and vengeance and S-E-X, was much better in 10-year-old Arcade Gannon’s estimation. He hadn’t really thought about it in years, but he had always loved the stories about Moses and his magic staff and rivers of blood. He hadn’t paid much attention to the rest of the story, at least not until it got to the good parts, with the death of the firstborn and parting of the Red Sea.
As an adult, he was starting to wish he’d paid attention to the part with the locusts."
