Because standing in the very not-destroyed, dense streets of Shibuya, lined with the bright colors of department stores, hotels, tourist attractions, and advertisements plastered across every available space, Yuuji did not have Choso as support. He didn't have Fushiguro as support. He didn't even have Okkotsu as support.
Yuuji was inconceivably, utmostly, wholly, not-awesomely fucked because he was in the year 2005.
🔴 OR: Stuck over a decade in the past, Yuuji has resolved to do anything to ensure his future doesn't come to be.
It would really be a lot easier if Geto Suguru wasn't so overbearing, if Gojo Satoru wasn't such an asshole, if Ieiri Shoko stopped instigating things, and if Yuuji were just a tiny bit smarter.
But he was on his own, so damn it if he wasn't going to work with what he got.

Except on the mornings when Megumi woke up later than Yuji and stumbled out of his bedroom. His eyes heavy lidded, hair messier than usual and his voice raspy from sleep. With his shirt rumpled and his tiny sleep shorts mocking Yuji’s will to live.
It was enough.
Except when Megumi got out of the shower, water dripping down his torso and a towel wrapped precariously low on his hips as he walked down the hall to his bedroom. When Megumi emerged from his room wearing a hoodie so oversized that his hands drowned in the sleeves and the hem came down to mid-thigh. When Yuji realized it was his hoodie.
It was fine. It was enough.

His arms are crossed over his chest as Itadori throws Tsumiki across the ice for the final time. She sticks her landing perfectly, and in an instance Itadori is at her side again, and once again synchronized they glide across the ice.
They stick a triple twist lift.
“Yeah,” Megumi hums. “Probably is.”

When Yuuji wakes up, the first thing he’s met with is a pair of the most gorgeous green eyes he’s ever seen.
His eyes widen as he finally takes in his surroundings. He’s on some rooftop, alone, save for Fushiguro. Scraps of his suit circle him. A few feet away, a piece of fabric sits, a giant, blazing, condemning spider logo in the center.
He looks back up at Fushiguro, who had since steeled his expression.
And those green eyes stare into Yuuji’s. And Yuuji isn’t wearing a mask. And Fushiguro knows that he’s Spider-Man.
“Oh my god,” Yuuji gasps. “Oh my god.”
—Or: Yuuji wakes up to the prettiest boy he's ever seen, and the knowledge that said boy has just figured out his secret identity.
