Summary
“Hey,” a voice calls out. “You’re awake.”
Eddie rolls his head to the side, only temporarily stunned to see the King of Hawkins High himself sitting in a chair next to Eddie’s hospital bed.
Steve Harrington.

Summary
“Hi,” Steve says, pleasantly enough, if a little distracted as he prods at the soda machine. He smiles apologetically. “Be with you in a sec.”
Eddie almost wants to tell him you know it’s me, right? He doesn’t.
It’s not that he expects Steve to be mean, exactly; it’s just that he’s getting more than familiar with the whole post graduation routine. It’s like there’s a secret page in folks’ yearbooks, instructing them to look at anyone still attached to high school with either indifference or embarrassment—or both.
Steve must not have got the memo.

Summary
“Why is he coming toward us with the gun?”
Wayne is, in fact, walking toward the car, still holding the good rifle.
Steve has never been threatened by someone else’s parent before. He’s good with adults. Charming, even. He asks them what they do for work and answers all of their questions with polite smiles and light laughter. Steve is good at winning over the parents of people he’s dated. Hell, even Ted Wheeler begrudgingly had a positive opinion on him.
So, in his panic, he does the only thing he can think of: He throws the Beemer in reverse and pushes the gas pedal down to the floor.
OR
On June 22nd, 1985, Steve Harrington and Eddie Munson break the speed limit, teach each other to dance, get into a bar fight, vandalize property, evade the law, piss off a farmer, smoke, and watch the sun rise.
And all the stress, panic, bruised knuckles, and anxiety about ass splinters during that night was completely, utterly, and hilariously unnecessary.

Summary
“Alrighty, I think that’s all of us,” Harrington’s overly cheery voice thunders somewhere from above him and Eddie, like a moth drawn to a flame, has no other option but to look up. With his hands power-posed strategically onto his sinfully slim waist and the sun positioned perfectly behind him, Steve Harrington seems to have taken it upon himself to alter Eddie’s brain chemistry, braincells leaving left and right, leaking right through his ears, never to be seen again.
Eddie Munson despises sports. He despises Sport's Day even more. Good thing there's Steve Harrington to make it a little less unbearable. Takes places right before Summer of 1985.
