Both of their hearts — no matter how broken — tried to beat in sync.
Fast, slow, confused, trying.
Agatha’s touch lingered.
Fingers brushing the scarred skin like she was afraid it would vanish or somehow making it worse.
Rio inhaled sharply.
Then answered:
“To remember."
But even then, there were words unspoken from Rio’s lips physically that still reached Agatha’s mind.
"Do you like it that much when we're away from one another? If i went and let the hurt bloomed all over this body, would that made you love me the same like before?"

It doesn’t matter, though. Andy will go back to her own life, to whichever people care about her and she won’t notice Emily or remember her for longer than a few days. And Emily will still end up loving her even harder.
She lets the guilt wash over her. That’s what she deserves as she unlocks her phone. She knows it’s wrong. She wants it to feel wrong — it’s the only thing Emily’s good at — selfishly taking what she wants.
She dials Benji because she would do anything for Andrea, even hurt her.
Or: It starts in the hotel room, behind closed doors. Andy forgives her. Emily still years to love her the way she really wants to.
