Judy Hopps is born into poverty, into a family too numerous and too vulnerable to ever feel truly safe. She grows up watching the world be cruel in ways that no one bothers to justify, because no one feels the need to. She decides early that she will not look away. She decides even earlier that she will not kneel to any predator or noble.
Two animals from opposite ends of a world that was never fair to either of them. Two enemies who were never supposed to share the same road, wounds, fear, let alone the same roof.
Neither of them is ready for what comes next.
