    “Deku, look in the fucking mirror.” Katsuki’s voice held an uncanny amount of fear in it. Izuku had never heard such a confident boy sound so disturbed before.

    “Kacchan, wha–” Izuku felt his heart drop to his stomach.

    The boy in the mirror staring back at him was not the reflection Izuku knew. No, this couldn’t be happening. His curly green hair had been replaced by blonde tufts and in the absence of those large, expressive green eyes, layed a pair of thin red ones. His freckles and natural tan had disappeared for a paler more muscular body. But this body wasn’t his. This body was Katsuki’s.

    The Mer didn’t answer.

    Instead, he let out a soft trill before gliding closer. His tail shimmered like ink in the dim water, His eyes never left Katsuki’s.

    Katsuki didn’t move.

    The lights flickered.

    And the Mer lunged.

The hopeless little romantic is so thrilled for all of them, and eagerly awaits the day he finds his mate. No one smells quite right to him though, and he’s patient and more than happy to do his own thing. They’ll turn up eventually. When he breaches the waves along the coastline while exploring one day, he catches a whiff of something on the breeze that sends a thrill down his tail. He’s gotta know where it comes from.
