Jax is fine.
Completely and totally fine.
He's fine when his best friend suddenly becomes aggressive and turns on him. He's fine when he starts pushing everyone else away. He's fine after fighting with Pomni when she claims they're friends. And he's sure as hell fine when he locks himself and his room, slowly beginning to abstract.
Jax's world is coming down around him and he struggles to admit that he's lost control, that maybe he's never been in control.
When he started to abstract he didn't expect to wake up. He didn't expect the rest of the circus to suddenly be rallying with him after everything he said and did.
And he definitely didn't expect that he might finally have to admit, to himself and everyone else, that he's not okay.
(OR: After episode 6 Jax starts to abstract. The gang finds a way to stop it but there are… consequences. Jax is forced to think about his past and becomes angry at the idea that he once again could be hopeless. But is he really?)

He wasn't there.
Scratch that. He wasn't anywhere in the bloody school.
After the nurse said he hadn't come into her office, he'd run up to the roof, but he wasn't there either. At least he wasn't stupid enough to take his advice then. After Katsuki had checked his locker, the bench where he ate lunch, and the library though, he started feeling uneasy again. Maybe he had just gone home? Or was at the park in their neighborhood? It wasn't like Deku to ditch school, no matter how badly he was bullied. He hadn't in years, at least.
Katsuki's legs were carrying him back again to the shitty apartment he'd been avoiding for years, a sense of dread settling in the back of his throat. If that stupid bastard thought he could run away again, he'd have to put the thank you on hold temporarily until he finished killing him. He took a short detour to check the park between Katsuki's house and Deku's building, but no luck there either. He kept running.
Or alternatively, after an unsuccessful suicide attempt, Izuku and Katsuki try to protect each other the only ways they know how. As Izuku walks a dangerous tightrope, Katsuki simply tries to hold onto him as the thought of losing Deku again takes its toll.

“Deku,” he rasped, and immediately coughed to clear his throat. His voice was sandpaper on rust, but in the silence, it was a cannon shot.
The effect was instantaneous and horrific.

On patrol during 2nd year at UA, DynaDeku are captured by a group of villains who seem to know everything about them, including the best way to subdue them. After months of torture in the name of what appears to be science… how can they return to their dream of becoming heroes? After becoming so severely trauma-bonded, what does this mean for their relationship?OR: BakuDeku are kidnapped after the war, get tortured and trauma bonded, and have to learn to cope with it and carve out a new meaning in life (and also maybe get together).

They roll over and steal five more minutes under the blankets. Somewhere in the house, plates clink and something warm sizzles in a pan.
That’s what normal mornings are supposed to be. Izuku doesn’t remember the last time he slept without fear.

Ever since he was very young, Izuku has been used by the Hero Commission for his healing quirk. Instead of going to school or growing up with a family, he’s forced to spend his days healing heroes in critical condition and enduring experiments. Last year, the entirety of Mr Aizawa’s class A graduated. But this year was different. No, he didn’t believe they would all graduate back into society like the classes before them. He believed they could become something bigger. That was why, with gritted teeth and a manic smile, Eraser Head turned to his new class of students and said:
"You aren't villains - you never were, and you never will be. But you can take that fire inside of you and put it to good use. We're in a hero school, aren't we? Well then...

“Hey, Izuku, wake the fuck up.” He pinches once more, and this time Izuku’s eyes open and stay open a little longer. He can see Izuku’s mouth move around a little, as if he’s trying to figure out how to form words before another groan escapes and he clamps his eyes shut.
“Kacchan,” Izuku whispers.
Katsuki sniffs and licks his lips. “Yeah I’m here. You gotta talk to me, Deku. I gotta know what’s going on.”
He really needs to know what kind of shape Izuku is in. “He’s awake sensei,” he calls over to the phone, knowing that Aizawa has been paying attention this whole time. “I’m checking him over.”
Izuku starts to move then, just a short move of his torso up before it’s abruptly cancelled and a loud keen escapes his mouth. Katsuki is left kneeling there, one hand stretched out, eyes wide, as Izuku writhes in pain.
“What the fuck, Izuku what the fuck,” he mutters, putting a hand on Izuku’s shoulder to still his body. “Talk to me. Talk to me.”

After the war ends Izuku Midoriya really just expects everything to continue how it was before. Yes, he knows they need to rebuild and yes he knows it won’t be as easy as he wants it to be.
But nothing, nothing could’ve prepared him for this.
who would’ve thought the reward for winning a war wasn’t early retirement and having so much money you don’t know what to do with it but a nightmare of a disease that’s apparently incurable even in a super-powered quirked world.
This definitely wasn’t on Izuku’s 20xx bingo card.
