He closes Yuuta’s hand around the wood. His fingers guide Yuuta’s grip, adjusting him with the patient precision of someone correcting a child’s posture, until the stake sits properly against his palm and the sharpened point faces the vampire’s own chest.
“There,” he says. “If you are going to hold it, hold it properly.”
Yuuta cannot breathe.
The vampire stands close enough now that one hard push would do it.
