Zanka scoffed. “Sounds pretty fake if you ask me. Probably just want to squeeze money out of people and end up giving them a skeleton they found in No Man’s Land. Who survives a fall from the sky?”
Riyo shrugged again. “It’s just rumors.”
Enjin rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “I like rumors,” he said. “Should probably go check it out.”

It is hard to give Rudo affection without him hissing and scratching at you like a cat, but there is a way that the cleaners learn about. Rudo has an off switch. Not a literal switch per say, but it might as well be. This is how each cleaner finds it.

Spoilers up to chapter 95.
Set between Qifrey's fourth and fifth test. To me, this feels like their (broke?) student days, maybe their early twenties. In my headcanon Easthies is slightly older. Qifrey does not yet wear glasses. I do not write slow burn, I burn the candle on both ends and I aim for maximum emotional damage. To me Orufrey is endgame and Easfrey is delicious, delicious toxic yaoi. I mean look at that dirty look at the very beginning of chapter 50.

Jinshi being the one to kneel and bring himself beneath Maomao in the wall scene was important because it shifts the power dynamic from "Maomao reliant on her superior for sustenance" to "food supply Jinshi at Maomao's mercy."
The interactions and banter in this fic are amazing. I loved reading Jinshi's POV, I think this author writes him in particular extremely well. Vampire Maomao is such a good AU.

This fic is a little bit world altering.
I didn't see the sad ending tag, only the domestic married dads tag, this did screw me over.
I would not change reading this fic for anything. 0 regrets. What in the world this fic is so good ohmygod did I really just read this.
This was my first orufrey smut read and I think I'm ruined for all the other ones that will come after I didn't think it would be like this.
My favorite bit about the actual smut part is that once they get into the groove of it Qifrey is a little cheeky and Olly is just embarrassed and shy. The "my Olly" line was mushy-goo levels of adorable.

Tetia being kind of a goody two shoes is surprisingly true to her character. She just doesn't want anyone to get in trouble and for everyone to be safe!
I also like the decision to make Agott and Richeh the bad influences because Agott is eager to grow up and Richeh likes to do what she wants. And Coco easily being swayed to just go along with it but quickly feeling guilty and unsure was very in character.
This fic is in such a special place of being silly fun and a perfect representation of childhood. Having to wait in the toy aisle for your parent to finish shopping, getting fomo from all the other girls going to do something a little bad and getting dragged into it, refusing to be a snitch.
