Summary
"You did what you had to do, and that was in the past. None of us have any right to get upset about it."
Eliot snorted into his glass. "Pretty damn sure Hardison was furious about it. You didn't see his face when he first figured it out."
"Alright, maybe. But none of us can really judge you for it. I sure as hell don't know how I'd react in that kind of situation, so I can't say that you reacted badly, now can I?"
"Well that's all great in theory an' everythin', but how many people actually follow through with that kinda crap?" Eliot challenged hotly.
Surely one of these days you'd be able to knock some sense into him, you reasoned. Why was he so insistent that he didn't deserve to be happy? Why did he act like he needed you to be mad at him?
"You're allowed to regret things, y'know. Everyone is. It means you've grown as a person."
"Or gotten a guilty conscience," he argued.
"Feeling guilty means that you're not like that any more," you countered back. "Which I would argue, indicates growth. People don't regret things they've done if they would still do it. They usually only regret things they don't agree with anymore."

Summary
The fire escape door slid open with a loud clatter, immediately followed by a cheerful, "Helllooo, Jaybird's better half!"
"Oh no," you deadpanned in mock annoyance, as you put more of the leftovers from dinner into a Tupperware container. "He's back. There goes our peacefully quiet dinner time."
Alex lit up though, a grin crossing his face at Arsenal's voice. "Hi Arsenal!" he yelled back.
"Hey Mini-Hood!"
"What do you want?" you called out jokingly. "You're interrupting dinner."
Arsenal appeared on the living room side of the wall cutout, leaning his arms on the wall so he could stick his head into the kitchen. "I gotta friend I want you to meet," he announced as an insanely tall woman appeared next to him. She had fiery red hair, green eyes that were so bright they were almost glowing, and a ridiculous amount of extremely tanned skin showing through her outfit.
She looked at you curiously for a moment, opened her mouth to say something, then noticed Alex sitting on the counter next to you, and promptly let out a gasp of delight. "A young one! You are Jay's, yes?"

Summary
"No offense, but you look really stressed. You got other things going on?"
You sighed again, forcing your shoulders to drop. "Yeah. It was a rough day at work, I got yelled at by a lot of impatient patients. Almost lost multiple people. Then I came home and discovered that apparently I had a hidden security camera, but I know I didn't put one up, and management is apparently pissed about it."
Jay went very still for a moment. "A security camera? Doesn't the building already have some?"
"No it does not, but that's not the point. The point is…" You trailed off when you noticed the carefully neutral expression on his face. "No. Uh-uh. Tell me you did not put up a camera outside my apartment."
Jay was silent.
You, however, were not. "What the fuck Jay?!"

Summary
Why wasn't he just barging in like he always did? So you made your way to the door and flung it open with a teasing remark on your lips. "Oh come on Jay, what's--"
Jason was standing outside like you'd been expecting, but he had someone else with him; a younger boy who looked maybe twelve or thirteen, and who barely came up to Jason's elbow. He had messy black hair and sharp blue eyes that stared up at you calculatingly, along with a frown. If you hadn't already known that all of Jason's brothers were adopted, your first impression would've been that this was a younger version of him, just with slightly sharper features and slightly more of a tan.
"Hey," Jason greeted you. "Uh, sorry I couldn't ask you earlier, but something came up last minute and I have to babysit. Figured I'd do introductions before just bringing him inside."
"I don't need a babysitter, let alone two of them," the young boy protested.
"Yeah whatever." Jason rolled his eyes before gesturing to you and introducing you to the boy. "And this is the demon spawn. Kid, you better be nice."

Summary
"Patrol was cut short."
"Yeah, because it's pouring out there," you pointed out helpfully. "I'd call you guys even crazier than usual if you stayed out there in this kind of storm."
Robin tutted under his breath as he wrapped the towel around his shoulders. "We're not that unwise." Orphan shot him an unreadable look, and you were about to fondly argue with him when Robin's uniform meowed.
Orphan raised her eyebrows and crossed her arms, shifting her weight to one leg. You blinked at Robin in surprise. Robin - somehow - managed to look unaffected as he pulled a kitten from somewhere inside his uniform.
"'Not that unwise'," Orphan echoed dryly.
