When someone died, he was not the person to be sitting around weeping, nor was he going to go into a four-decade mourning period like the royals seemed to. The best way to honour someone when they died was to raise a quick toast, say a silent prayer if appropriate, and then carry on. The world didn’t stop for the end of one person’s existence.
