However Kieran feared facing his mother, and Lord Stoker again. So Spelldon offers to go with. There is just one problem. Vampires are very unaccepting of any monsters that aren't vampires. Also kind of homophobic. Which would be bad is the two were revealed as a couple. Will the two make it through the weak without being discovered?

When he was a child and came to have the blessing of the one alone, Peter was taken to his great grandfather's study by his uncle. He sat him down at age 12 and he told him about a story, one passed down by generations of their family.
Peter was told about a selkie, a coat and of his great grandfather Mordechai who kept that coat to ensure the selkie would not harm their family. He listens, a bit confused, perhaps wary, but after seeing Forsaken at work he can't say the existence of a thing like a selkie is out of the realm of possibilities.
It's a simple thing really, once Peter is older, his job will be to look after the coat and deal with the creature. He will keep the coat with him, and keep it away from the selkie it belongs to, it does not matter what face he has, how many times it changes, the coat's powers continues to work no matter the years and the bodies.

Their last neighbour was not very happy with his kids' tendencies to watch people and cause trouble. Contrary to what many may think, Valentine's day was a big holiday in his family. Besides weddings and funerals it was the only other celebration that they implemented. Not that as a child he got to understand what the purpose of it was, he only saw the consequences of relatives looking more morose and the house being colder than what he could remember.
His siblings always stayed away when the adults had their dinners and Peter generally speaking was of the same idea, however, once he was a bit older and he was introduced to the concept of their patron, he took on watching those cold lifeless dinners with rapt interest.
He wouldn't really see the way it was normally celebrated until he was out for college.

The change back doesn't happen….as immediately as one would expect. Yes, the closer you were to the Panopticon the quicker it happened, Peter’s apartment building was close enough to London that he felt it when it changed. It was panic inducing and it was so disorientating he almost fell to the floor as if he had been drunk and it was just hitting him. He saw the tower starting to crumble in the distance.
“Oh” He said.
Fuck, he thought. Its unclear what moves him, if its the slowly dawning realization that soon all the people trapped in their empty and small apartments will start to crawl out like ants crowding the place or that Elias just lost and he is not sure what that means for him, but whatever it is? Peter runs.
He runs to the crumbling tower.
Peter looks around not sure what he was looking for, maybe a body, a corpse to put himself at ease that Elias was truly and once and for all gone. Somehow it did not bring him as much joy as he thought. He had wanted Martin to kill him, yes, but there was a lot at stake and now when the worst has already happened…well, he did not want to lose…

Summary
Peter was skittish when it came to physical contact when they just started to see each other. As James it didn't bother him, their relationship had been mostly for satisfaction and Peter leaving quickly after their little moments together didn't particularly matter to him.
When he jumped to Elias however and they started to become something…more than just flings, it became obvious that Peter craved physical contact but that he was unable or simply too conditioned to accept it. As if the lonely would strike him dead the moment Elias held his hand or linked their arms together.
The most fascinating aspect of it was seeing it happen in real time, the way Peter would clearly shift and move as if to reach out but would shudder and retreat. It wasn't only about human touch, no, it was more than that. It was denying himself simple comforts, such as fabrics to run his fingers through, wearing clothes that didn't bring him any comfort.
It was all the small things that piled up and painted a picture about the sort of childhood he had and the issues Peter didn't want to really consider.Bookmarked by AlexCipher117

Annoyed, he asks what it is, when he sees Peter turn around from their closet with a… "No"
"Hm, i say yes, you owe me Elias"
"You know i hate that thing"
The thing in question is a blindfold. A Dark powered one, which basically makes him unable to use his powers properly. Elias shivers just thinking about it.
"Oh you don't hate it, if i recall you usually have the time of your life when you wear it, let us not lie to ourselves"
His husband comes closer and offers it to him, he looks at it with disdain before picking it up and looking up at Peter who still gives him a neutral expression. He really hates that, he is so easy to read usually, he knows all his idiosyncrasies and yet he robs him of his favorite thing.
