Alec’s eyes scan her, and Fiore, to her horror, begins to shake in what must be fear. She doesn’t think Alec will hurt her, not really, but Fiore knows that adults are unpredictable, especially when angry. She shuts her eyes and hunches down, hoping that if she’s small enough he’ll forget all about everything and leave her alone.
There’s silence. Fiore cracks open an eye to see him studying her expression. The look of pity on his face disgusts her.
“Fiore,” Alec repeats, softer this time. “I came to check on you.”
She fully opens her eyes and frowns.
“What? Why?”
Alec’s expression returns to cold neutrality. He adjusts the box under his arm, and Fiore can see that it’s red.
“You got pretty hurt back there.” He says plainly. Fiore scoffs.
“So what? What do you care?”
“I may be upset with you, but that doesn’t mean I want you to be in pain.” He holds up the box, revealing that it’s a rather old First-Aid kit. “I have some things here. Let’s check you over.”

When Chancellor Bay decides to perform a suspiciously familiar parodic musical number aimed at the wealthy merchant Sarpedon, he triggers a cross-cultural riot. This time, the song contains many more anachronisms, including the use of modern-day languages (Arabic, Turkish, and Greek), and a verse of the song being sung by the adult characters (mainly males) from around the world in different languages. Bay continues singing the song without realising that the "hated man" he was singing about, Sarpedon, was directly behind him, furious. In response, he has had it with Bay's mockery, which he believes is meant to further insult him.
