Summary:
While exploring an ancient tomb, Harry calls on his trusted Cursebreaker advisor, Draco Malfoy, to ensure the tomb is safe from traps. And, if he’s lucky, to assist him in the ancient and beloved rite of dancing around one’s old nemesis to the tune of desire, vulnerability, and mutual trust.
It’s a familiar ritual, but one he will never tire of.
Draco’s pretty into it, too.

Happy Erised moonflower_rose!! I so hope you enjoy your gift, and that you’ve had a blast creating your own piece. I’ve loved your work for a long time, and I adored your sign up so much. It was an absolute pleasure to dive into your likes and search for that delicious balance between domestic trust/vulnerability and the thrilling sensuality of new desire. I was especially inspired by your prompt of archaelogy and working together, and couldn’t get this idea out of my head once it appeared.
(Also, you said thigh holsters, any holsters, and I heard both Astarion and Brendan Fraser, loud and clear.)
This is the longest time I’ve ever spent on an art piece (over 25 hours) and I’m tentatively thrilled how it came together. It’s also, technically, the most cheating-est cheat way to do a comic ever… since it’s basically just the one image zoomed in on in different parts 😅. But listen. Listen. I did not spend all that time working on an image with a resolution so large that, by the end, it was crashing Procreate every ten minutes to NOT zoom in on that bastard.
Draco’s outfit is inspired by an incredible 3D render artist’s work for Astarion. Thank you vancunin on tumblr for sharing your gorgeous art and allowing people to create inspired pieces from it! And thank you T for beta-viewing, and K for sensitivity-viewing Harry’s features. Any remaining wonky mistakes are my own under-developed artistic eye.
