Setting: Lower Decks Post-finale. About...a month after.
It all started with a PADD retrieval.
Provisional First Officer Bradward Boimler had accidentally left it in the USS Cerritos' bridge during the aftermath of a tough mission. Needing it to record his logs, he ventures out during a "lights out" time established by Ransom for the whole ship.
Finding his PADD near the science section of the bridge, he then notices something, or rather someone, sitting near the view screen.
There, beyond the hull, looking at the stars, was Ensign Barnes. The encounter surprised Boimler, but despite it, Barnes kindly offered him to join her to unwind. After all, it was a very tough mission and the Cerritos' crew put a lot of their energy on it.
After agreeing and sitting down next to her, little did Brad Boimler knew was that, on that particular night, things afterwards would be changing for the better between him and the Trill operations officer...

Lacey, the creature in front of you today, has completed their time at the academy with high marks, to the chagrin of many in the top brass.
The young cadet then completed an exemplary rotation on a Galaxy Class star ship, again disappointing many and thrilling others with their performance.
Much of Miss Leyora's record from the years of 2376 to 2379 seems to be redacted, as does everything prior to age eight.
Available to us now are the personnel logs from their time on the Cerritos, while under the command of Captain Carol Freeman.
We submit these logs to this council for review, including the deleted portions that Miss Leyora attempted to hide from official record and their superiors.
