“You have something on your mind, don’t you? Wouldn’t you rather talk about it? I promise, despite appearances, I’m a great listener,” Omokage purrs, elbows coming to rest on his knees. His long fingers form a bridge beneath his chin and his visible eye sparkles as he peers over at Takumi. “No strings attached, and I won’t tell anyone what you’ve told me… Even if they should try to torture it out of me, my lips are sealed.”
“Everything you say about yourself sounds like it should be in the about section of a dating app,” Takumi points out, but he shakes his head. “It’s fine. It isn’t a big deal, so I don’t mind saying… but you don’t have to be tight-lipped about it either. It’s just… you know.” Takumi picks at his pants, then stops, smoothing them down. They’d gone to a significant amount of effort to change the design of their Class Armour. He’d really get an earful from the girls if he caused any permanent damage. “It’s… today is…”
“Your birthday?” Omokage supplies. Takumi chokes on his own spit again.
