Niall can’t help but look up, then. The tears are gone, replaced by pure incredulity. Ruben had just gone there, brought up one of those weird, unspoken topics they weren’t ever meant to broach - like Ruben’s father, or the time Niall had cum inside a woman whilst Ruben pressed a hand to his chest, whilst they’d stared into each other’s eyes.
