I can assure you that my transfer has nothing to do with your club's relegation, nor is there anything that Richmond has done in error. Rather, I have spoken with my editors and we’ve agreed that this is the most appropriate course of action.
I wish you all the best in the season.

The house on Neibolt was standing again.
Bill was talking about going in alone. How?
“So does somebody want to say something?” Eddie asked, still breathing, still fucking breathing and alive and not dripping his Goddamn organs out of his chest.
“Richie said it the b-best when we were here last,” Bill said.
“Holy fuck.”

If I'd bothered to read the tags I would've known from the start this was set in the 50s but I DIDN'T and so it was the most delightful discovery as I started to read - the details and the texture of this story is so lush and a perfect look into the gay counterculture of London in the 50s and OF COURSE Aziraphale takes them under his wing, no pun intended, and Crowley's careful attention to him is so perfect and tender and yearning, I love this so much

Summary
It was a dark and stormy night, and nobody was enjoying it.
The ground, newly sodden, was so cold that it made Crawly's scales ache. If he hadn't been able to see in the darkness, he would've been done for. The streams had filled to overflowing, and he preferred to avoid being washed away. After all, he wasn't such a large snake, and he didn't like getting wet unless the sun was on hand to dry him.
Thunderstorms, as far as Crawly was concerned, were a bad move on His part.

Everything about this fic. Andrew's poorly repressed feelings, Steven being genuine and smart and also quite dumb but not as dumb as Andrew. TIME LOOP. The anguish is real, the slow burn incredible. And the story only takes place over one day, technically

Bookmarker's Notes
you know how you're sometimes laid out on the couch with the flu and you're watching a Stephen Colbert video on youtube and you think "man, i bet there's fic about stephen colbert and jon stewart out there" and so you check up on ao3 and sort by most kudos because you've found that to be a good way of finding quality fic even if you only ship it on the most superficial level but what the hell, you're home sick with nothing better to do, and then you click on the first result and then suddenly you're sucked into a world of hurt because they're IN LOVE but the CIRCUMSTANCES WERE JUST NEVER QUITE RIGHT and WHY COULDN'T THEY JUST MAKE OUT in REAL LIFE
So anyway, I haven't read much more Stephen/Jon than this one, but this totally deserves to have the most kudos of this tag because, lord, the depiction of loving more than one person and the understated agony of being torn in multiple directions at once and, and, I found this fic several months ago but I keep remembering it and thinking "Damn, that was a really great story". Like, it's the kind of thing that could only exist in fanfic form, but it's perfect.
And I mean, there is no line greater than this:The guilt, Jon thinks as their lips at last meet in their world, is going to do you in.

The thing that always rubs me the wrong way with fics containing alpha/beta/omega dynamics is that the societal ramifications are seldom explored. With this fic, it's the whole premise! And it's so deftly handled in this incredibly well-written story, and the characterization is both nuanced and enhanced by the implications of a society formed by biological determinism; Enjolras' rage against the machine taking on a decidedly personal flavor, and Grantaire's disdain for his own well-being seeming a little guilt-stricken. Every character is delicately handled, the prose rife with amazing, heart-wrenching detail. And Enjolras not picking up on any popular culture since the Matrix is both hilarious and incredibly true to his character.
