Standing closer, he can see the problem — the boy's knee is bleeding, and it looks like it hurts. Like it hurts a lot, actually, and Tooru feels his anger dissipate. "Oh no, how did that happen?" he asks, kneeling and shuffling closer.
"Scraped my knee when I was trying to climb the tree and slipped down," the boy mumbles, looking away.
"Does it hurt? It looks like it hurts a lot," Tooru says, leaning in even closer, and then jumps up, holding out a hand. "C'mon, I know where we can get bandages! I know how to fix it."
The boy looks at him. Tooru blinks back. The boy has really nice hair — it's cool, kind of spiky. Tooru wonders if he can get his to look like that.
