Kaveh is in charge of rebuilding Alhaitham's house, which he's mostly happy to do - but Alhaitham has been acting strange, and it's making Kaveh nervous.
Kaveh wasn't sure that any commission had ever stressed him as much as rebuilding Alhaitham's house did, and it frustrated him to no end that he couldn't fathom why. Alhaitham was exceptionally laid-back about the new plans and rebuilding, deferring to Kaveh whenever possible. When it came to new features, choices of material, even prices, Alhaitham always yielded to Kaveh's opinion - which Kaveh would love if it were literally any other client.

Summary
Nod-Krai is attempting to return to normal after several nation-ending disasters were avoided, but there's still some cleanup to be done. Though they're short-staffed, the brunt of the work falls to the Lightkeepers, so the Starshyna has no choice to send Flins on a solo mission. How is Illuga supposed to think of anything else when he doesn't return on time?
Illuga was worried sick. Despite Nikita's and Flins' assurances, Flins still had not returned from Kipumaki Cliff. Illuga had waited - very patiently, mind you - each day for word that Flins was back or had reached Cliffwatch Camp again, but there had been very little news. Nikita kept saying "no news is good news", but Illuga wasn't so sure. By the time the fifth day rolled around, Nikita was out of placating words.
"Starshyna," Illuga addressed Nikita as he entered the man's office.
Nikita let out a long-suffering sigh.

Summary
