When Lena Luthor learns that she won’t be able to spend another summer at shopping malls and high end getaway resorts like she’s done the summers before, but rather she spend it as a camp counselor in training at a summer camp where her mothers boss’s wife works, it feels like her world is about to drop from its orbit. Lena hates the woods, she hates bugs and she doesn’t particularly enjoy the presence of children but her mother remains stubborn in decision to expose Lena to such tortures for the sake of her career. It’s not until Lena arrives at the camp and starts to make a few friends that she realizes that there was the potential she was wrong about everything. Maybe it especially had something to do with a hyperactive and over friendly blonde with the characteristics of a golden retriever that truly allowed Lena to see all the good things that Camp Maverick has to offer. Maybe it was because of Kara that Lena realizes that nestled away in the deep forest of Vermont was not only a place she’d missed her entire life but a person…a love.
