Summary
His jaw tenses and he fixes his sights on Minho’s date, appraising the slender man. He’s not exactly Minho’s usual type, but maybe that’s the point.
Gold bracelets tinkle as he tilts his martini back, swiping a lock of platinum blonde behind his ear. He laughs at a joke Chan can’t hear, bringing perfectly manicured fingertips over the row of glossy white squares covering his actual teeth. He looks expensive. Like the settings on a washing machine might confuse him. Like he’s never been punched in the face.
Minho leans forward, the buttons of his maroon dress shirt straining, and plucks the olive from the man’s glass. He pops it into his traitorous mouth, filling the man with giggles and hollowing out Chan’s ribcage.
After a year of self-imposed exile following his breakup with Minho, Chan reluctantly agrees to attend a birthday party on the promise that Minho won’t be there. Things do not go quite as planned, and as the intoxicating fog of alcohol thickens, Chan struggles to stay anchored in the present within a flood of old memories and the surge of emotions they bring.

Minchan is not usually a ship a gravitate to but this fic got its claws of raw emotion deep into me and I had to stop several times because I got overwhelmed.

He buys exactly one iced coffee, on purpose. He waits until he has the straw in his mouth before imagining Changbin's reaction at not being bought one. The betrayed scowl, the annoyed inhale, the—God help him—gorgeous flex of his jaw.
Seungmin smiles around the straw.
Perfect.

Seungmin grins. He had just narrowly avoided an alien falling on him and flattening him into a pancake. In his defence, Superman should have looked where he was throwing it. “I’m just trying to do my job.”
“Oh really? Then why aren’t the other journalists from the Daily constantly harassing me?”
“Because I’m better at my job than them.”Or: Superman never talks to the press. So when Changbin lands an exclusive interview with him, Seungmin is determined to one-up his self-proclaimed workplace rival. He's not prepared, however, to start catching feelings for Superman—or Changbin.
