Summary
A hot summer's day, windows cranked down, and the road empty as far as the eye can see. Eddie's cruising through Hawkins as if he's running out of pavement, itching to get home and waste his college free summer away. That is until—
There's a red BMW on the side of the road. One he recognizes. Steve Harrington's red BMW.

Summary
"What had started as pure and mostly innocent curiosity was now devolving into something rather…kinky, if Steve were to put a word to it.
—
However good it felt, it must’ve been a hundred times better for Steve. As he was slumping further and further into the pillows, closing his eyes, nuzzling in close to Eddie’s torso—his nose tickling the bare, scarred skin.As Steve fell asleep, he thought to himself, What if I did this again?"

Summary
“Most of the sides look the same!” Steve spits out in his frustration. “It’s all just the same color. And…and…look, some of the color tiles are different shades of the same color! How am I supposed to figure this out? How did you figure this out?”
Eddie, who had been leaning against Steve’s side, lounging on the couch, pulls himself short. “What are you talking about, Stevie? The sides are definitely not the same color.”
“No. No, ‘cause, look”—he holds up the cube to the light, pointing at different sides—“this one’s red, I know this one’s red. But this one? This one is…it’s just a lighter shade of red! And this one? This one’s white, but this one is also white.” Steve drops the cube to the couch. “See what I mean? Like…you must have some trick up your sleeve to tell the difference between those two white sides, right? And the blues? The reds? Unless you’re colorblind? Maybe that’s why we’re seeing it differently.”

Summary
In a rush, “I lost it,” Eddie answers.
“Lost…?”
Quietly, Eddie sniffles. He takes the right sleeve of his sweatshirt, tucks it over his picked at fingers, and wipes hastily at his under eyes. All the while, he refuses to make eye contact. “Um,” he mumbles into his hand, “the pup.” Gently, he shakes his head, tosses his hair this way and that. “Our pup,” he then corrects.
Pup?
Steve stills. Eyes wide. Eyebrows raised to his hairline. Mouth firm.
Ours?
He slowly drags his head, looking over at Eddie now. “What…what do you mean our pup? You were pregnant?”

Summary
Steve Harrington is seriously and more so officially, a dud. A nobody.
Part of him wants to break out in hives at the thought. Another part of him wants to tear out his hair—probably the only thing keeping him steady within recognition around Hawkins. A Harrington that broke away from business, didn’t go to college, couldn’t make a name for himself. What’s he supposed to do?
Everybody around him is all, “Eddie” this and “Eddie” that. When they’re all able to talk or see each other, nobody else has room to breathe, they all take a collective deep breath and sound off like a flock of seagulls about Eddie fucking Munson. Him and his talent, his collection of guitars, his paparazzi photos, his wicked sense of style, his beautifully long hair, his gorgeous picture perfect face and—
It’s infuriating.

Summary
Steve ignores the cat, at first.
He’s digging a thumbnail into the meat of his palm, shuffling from foot to foot every so often, dragging a lip so hard between his teeth that Eddie’s worried he’s gonna make it bleed, and Eddie isn’t sure what to do. He wants to help, wants to somehow soothe the boy, but he isn’t sure how, thinks if he gets any closer to him he’ll only make things worse.
The cats meows again. Presses itself harder up against Steve, stretches up so its little front paws are against his thigh, kneading insistently, refusing to be ignored.
Steve sags a little. Reaches down with a trembling hand, strokes it across the cat’s head, and Eddie can hear the rumbling purr start up from the little creature. He watches as Steve loosens up, as his fingers unclench and his teeth release his lip and the frown fades slowly from his lovely face.
*****
Eddie's reluctantly helping Wayne with his produce stall at the farmers' market. He's resigned himself to a boring summer - until a new face shows up at the market to run a baking stall with his best friend. Steve is...odd, like no one Eddie's ever met.
And it doesn't take him long to fall head over heels for him.

Summary
Steve and Eddie are best friends.
In their first year of college, Steve realizes he's bisexual—and that he has feelings for Eddie. Before he even has the opportunity to open up, Eddie's opinions push Steve further into the closet.
"Everything is just a joke to you! It's not! You don't get to sit around saying shit like that like it's a fun personality quirk! Like you're better than everyone else!"
"Alright, fine," Eddie says, defensive, eyes sharp now.
"I fucked up. I said something stupid and now I guess I'm the poster child for biphobia. I'm sorry."Steve's chest is burning. His mouth tastes like anger and dust and the stale air of the closet.
"No you're not. You're just another guy who doesn't think about the shit that comes out of his mouth."Bookmarked by steviewashere

Summary
Eddie had Poppy and every time he looked at her tiny little face, all he could think was how unworthy he felt.
But Steve—Steve was fucking built for this shit. He held Poppy in his strong arms so gently and he bottle fed her, changed her diaper, played her classical music, talked to her like she was a fully grown adult because he’d read somewhere that it would help with a kid’s development.
Eddie wasn’t cut out for being a father, much less a single father. But he never was a single father, not really. Not with Steve. Steve was always there. Self-assured, offering to look after little seedling and forcing Eddie to go hop in the shower, eat something, take care of himself in a way he hadn’t known how to do in those first few endless weeks.
And Eddie thought that maybe—
He’d thought—
He was so sure that they could’ve been a family.

Summary
He hears so very clearly, “Uh. Wow, okay,” in a familiar voice, the fantasy suddenly shifting with the finish line just in sight.
Eddie’s always had a highly active imagination so he rolls with it, hips jerking uncontrollably even as his knot keeps him from moving all that much. He’s so desperate to maintain enough friction to get this first knot popped. Once it goes down, he can air it out in here and get settled in his room before Steve comes back in the morning.
Maybe that pressing concern is why he’s imagining Steve walking in, scoffing at the pitiful sight he finds. “Seriously, dude? The couch? And on my side, too? Wow, just—wow.”
Or, alpha Eddie finds himself in a sticky situation.
