Summary
When James T. Kirk moves from Riverside, Iowa, to Athens, Georgia, he's pretty unhappy about it. What's with this trend of moving to where your siblings to to college, anyway? As his freshman year at Starfleet High goes on, though, he finds a friend in his next-door neighbor, Leonard McCoy, and discovers that Georgia weather and Iowa weather are a hell of a lot different. This is a modern AU series in progress that will probably expand to be 25 parts or so, spanning up to ten years of their lives. I'll probably update about twice a week, Fridays and Mondays/Tuesdays if all goes well.

When Bitty arches his back to crack it and asks, “D’you ever just…wanna get in the car and drive?” he’s kind of expecting to hear ‘Uh, not really, seeing as I’m a professional athlete living out all my dreams,’ or maybe a vaguely commiserative ‘yeah, dude, totally.’
He’s not expecting Kent to push up onto his forearms to look up at Bitty from his sprawl on the floor and say, with all the conviction of someone who’s been told they could solve world hunger with the press of a button, “Let’s do it.”
