Sam Wilson: Captain America. Isn’t that a hoot?
Despite all it had taken to finally embrace the title, at times it still feels surreal for Sam, the shield still a tad too heavy in his hands.
Turns out being Captain America isn’t all about bringing down the bad guys. Since the whole Flag Smashers fiasco, Sam’s been doing everything from organising the new Avengers Initiative, to making public appearances all over the country, to spending time in DC navigating murky political waters.
Getting back to Delacroix was becoming less frequent and more often than not he ends up crashing at Bucky’s pad in Brooklyn.
Sam didn’t think that was a problem… until it was.

Summary
The Rogues are back; Tony Stark couldn't even be mad about it - it was his idea after all. He's an Avenger and that means protecting the Earth at any cost - even if he has to deal with a certain star-spangled man and his sullen sidekick. After all, he's been through worse in his life; the loss of his wife and the disappearance of his son 12 years ago. Compared to that, this would be a walk in the park.
Bucky Barnes is back on US soil as a free man. But freedom is more than just physical. On top of that, Steve is desperate for him to be the man he was before. The only problem is; that man is long dead.
Peter Parker has been through the mill but he knows he just had to adapt, roll with the (many) punches and keep going. Spider-man is his safe place now, the one time he could truly feel like himself. Like he is making a difference. He'd make sure no one would suffer like he has, even if he has to track down the perpetrator himself.

The only thing Clint Barton hates more than being benched is being the damsel in distress. But he's willing to tolerate a daring rescue when it comes from a tall, dark and handsome not-really stranger. And if he gets to spend some time with that smoking hot assassin whilst convincing him to reunite with Steve, then that’s just a bonus.
One year free from Hydra’s clutches and staying on the run has kept Bucky Barnes pretty busy. Coming back to New York, he'd intended to keep his head down and out of trouble. But here he is, keeping an eye on Clint Barton. But maybe this job is one that's worth the risk.
