Summary
It's Post-Revolution, and life is a lot more boring than anyone expected. It kind of sucks. Hank's doing better, whatever that means, Connor's trying not to turn Hank's house into a set for an HGTV house-flipping show (and failing), and they're both just trying to keep it together as well as they can. So Hank decides to buy Connor a plant before the cabinets get ripped out and painted, just until CyberLife's state-of-the-art deviant gets his job back.
Connor LOVES it. Plants are his thing now. Who needs people? Who needs feelings? Plants are the real superior beings. The trouble is, everyone seems to think that he needs to 'make friends' and 'stop wallowing in self-pity' and 'confront his emotions', which is absurd, and Hank is wrestling with the fact that he's kind of a dad again somehow. Someone help these sad men.

Gavin has been burning his lives one after the other in an attempt to finally die for good, but his brother, in an effort to keep him alive, ties his soul to a random stranger. If Gavin dies, so do they, and Elijah is banking on Gavin not willing to kill another person. Connor, who is desperate for money to keep his sick mother alive and the antique shop open, agrees to the deal.

- Connor is glad to be Deviant, he just wishes he could make sense of it.
Connor unofficially moves in with Hank Post-revolution, trying to work out how to just 'be' now Cyberlife is gone. Then the 'malfunction' starts, and he wakes from every bout of stasis with his Thirium pump pounding against his chest and cleaning fluid on his cheeks. His memories won't leave him alone.
But there's nothing to worry about. It's just a minor malfunction, an issue with his stasis cycle.
He can handle it.
He can."It…unsettled Connor, just a little - not just the absence of any direction, but also that he was bothered by it. He liked being there; he’d placed it at the top of his Good list – before even Sumo (and Connor didn’t do that lightly, had in fact spent several minutes switching the order around and back again)."

Meanwhile, a small group of men in town have gotten bored enough to begin a project, one they don’t want folks in town to know about. It’s a dead town, people say, one that will disappear in another generation, since everyone who’s anyone moves away the first chance they get. These leftover boys, though, the ones that stayed - they think the “dead town” name has more to it. They think there are ghosts. And they are determined to prove it.
With a little luck, Yunho meets The Aurora Society for Paranormal Investigation. Before he knows it, his life gets tied in with all seven of theirs, and tied into the town itself. Will they ever catch proof? Who knows. But they’ll have each other to scream with along the way.
