A second, then a blur. Ilya knocking over one of the kitchen island stools to engulf Shane. His shaking frame holding Shane so tight, Shane felt himself shaking back. He could only hold on back, just as tightly.
“Please.” Came the strangled voice by his left ear. “Please, tell me.”
And who was Shane to ever deny a wish of Ilya Rozanov.
“I’m signing to Ottawa. Tomorrow. If you would want to come with.”
And then Ilya was shoving him back, holding him close to his face. “Of course. I drive. Of course I come.”

Shane, fed up with Montreal, signs to Ottawa before their relationship is revealed. Most of the time, Ilya doesn’t pick on him about it. Partly because Ilya knows when to pick and choose his battles, and any battle relating to a Shane routine is lost before it starts – but mainly because the little sleepy snuffling sounds that he insists he doesn’t make because he’s not sleeping, he’s meditating, so shut the fuck up, are really fucking cute.
But sometimes, Ilya wants – needs – his husband’s undivided attention in their last few moments of peace before another loud, hectic, and exhausting day full of other people stealing it.
Or maybe annoying Shane just enough to get him to slam the door a little bit too hard on his way out of the car, to give Ilya one quick dose of his adorable angry kitten face, is Ilya’s own form of morning meditation.
“Shane.”
Shane starts a bit, but otherwise doesn’t move or open his eyes. “Hmm?”
“What sport would you play if you were more athletic?

Phil stays quiet, his lips pressed together, until they’re all sat in their living room, Dan next to Phil on the sofa with far more space between them than they usually have, looking around helplessly.
“Just what exactly do you remember?” he asks Dan.
“Uh,” makes Dan. “I know my name is Dan. They told me.”
Dan has a ski accident and loses his memory. Phil can't do anything but offer him a home - Dan finds that said home is quite obscure.

They stayed there for a moment, looking at each other’s mottled and slightly swollen ribs. Ilya crouched so he could see better, so they were on eye level. The colors shifting over Shane’s skin as he breathed looked almost beautiful, like a painting. He skated one hand over the length just to hear him hiss. For some reason that sound was so sexy he had to surge forward and knock Shane back, covering his mouth and body with his own. He tried to be careful of the bruise, but not too hard. He wouldn’t mind hearing that sound again.
