Summary
While the world is reeling from the revelation that androids may be a new life form, Detroit has settled into the eye of the storm. There has been a tense peace in the weeks since the November 11th recall center demonstrations, but CyberLife is not gone, only biding its time. When the violent destruction of a helpless android reveals that there are still deep divides among those who remain in Detroit, Connor and Hank find themselves partnered up once more to investigate. Markus struggles to keep those who follow him safe from new threats and renewed android hate. Meanwhile, Kara tries to make a new life for Alice, Luther, and herself up in Canada, only to find that she can't outrun who she is.

“Sorry,” OP says when he comes back, his voice rougher now. “Thought someone was at the door.”
Or: Lando loses an F1 championship and signs up for a charity Minecraft speedrunning tournament to cope with his existential crisis. Turns out his coach, faceless speedrunning champion OP81, might be a bit of a fanboy.

Summary
Francis Adams removes the prototype headset from his face and drops it on the floor. His wife—Victoria, he remembers suddenly, Victoria Clemens Adams—standing beside him slips it over her face at the same time. He stares helplessly as she stills, for only a split second, then rips the headset off and tosses it like she's been burnt. She falls to her knees. Francis crouches beside her.
It is April 16, 2007. He accepts very quickly that he will be unable to change the future. He tries anyway, and fails predictably.

Summary
His parents will die if he doesn’t get a good grade on this test.
He already knows exactly what would happen:
A failing score would drop his overall grade, which would make people start thinking of him as the stupidest person alive, and that meant that he’d never become a hero, and his parents would end up getting caught in a villain attack that he would’ve been able to prevent if he was there to save them.
Simple as that.
“Here, Bakugou,” Aizawa-sensei says, speaking in the same monotone as always. His expression is impossible to discern.
Katsuki snatches the test out of his teacher’s hand, trying his best to convey something like stop wasting my time, but it probably comes out more like: why are you giving me something that could ruin my life?
His teacher raises an eyebrow at him — a silent scolding — and then moves along.
