    Summary

Having been born an omega in Sigonia had not been a bad thing. It was seen as good luck; to have someone able to create life in barren Sigonia. Little Kakavasha had quickly grown out of that mindset, when he saw his people being massacred. Stress and having his first heat forcefully triggered had made him feral, and alphas showing interest at him only made his skin crawl.

Dr. Ratio had been the one exception.

    Summary

Aventurine had recognized the first signs of his unscheduled heat four days ago; flushed cheeks, increased appetite and sudden tiredness. Yet, he had kept the knowledge of his faulty cycles away from his mate.

At least until Veritas learned the truth.

“I hope you realize it would not be a bother for me to return earlier than expected and properly tend to your needs. I am your mate, after all.”

“Always fulfilling your duties like the diligent Alpha you are. How mighty of you, Doctor.” Aventurine stared at those hypnotizing rosy golden eyes and the deep frown settled between them.

“This is not a duty. And if my words are not enough to convince you of this fact, I will give you a proper demonstration instead,” Veritas whispered, ignoring Aventurine’s whines as he did so.

    Summary

Five times Kaveh and Alhaitham accidentally built a marriage out of clauses, arguments, shared tea, and emotional terrorism (involving a House Constitution neither of them should have been trusted to write, an anniversary disguised as a treaty negotiation, a public use of “husband” that caused academic casualties, a dairy-based love language, and a cold that turned Alhaitham into the world’s least subtle caretaker). And one time, the word finally caught up with them.

    Summary

Lately, he'd almost lost his home—and quite possibly his life—to Dottore. Then Alhaitham had started acting all weird and considerate, and now he was hallucinating the voices of some ancient gods?!

"You're not hallucinating, young one," the first voice said. "We have merely entered your consciousness, nothing more."

The other hummed in apparent amusement. "Is this perhaps a bad time? I hope we didn't interrupt anything."

"What?!" Just how long had they been here? "T-there was nothing to interrupt!"

"Ah, forgive me. We had assumed admiring one's companion during his morning exercises was perhaps a common human custom."

Kaveh took a deep breath in an almost futile attempt to calm himself down from… who even knew at this point? The embarrassment of being caught ogling his roommate, or the simple fact that two literal gods had infiltrated his consciousness.

"My apologies, Lord Ibis King and…Goat King?"

    Or

Take a suddenly more considerate roommate and add two bored ancient gods to the mix, and you get the recipe for some of Kaveh's newest gray hairs.

    Summary

“...what type of person could have the Grand Sage of Sumeru wrapped around his finger.”

    Hm?

He knew it was wrong to listen in on a potentially private conversation, but Kaveh’s curiosity took over his decisions. Alhaitham never told him anything anymore, he rationalized. He just wanted to make sure he was forming good relationships with his friends. That was all.

His decision to eavesdrop had nothing to do with this mysterious person who allegedly had Alhaitham of all people wrapped around his finger. Nope. Not one bit.

After saving Sumeru, Alhaitham and Dehya hang out every month to catch up (read: gossip) as friends do. And if that gossip happens to be about Alhaitham’s hopeless crush on his roommate, then so be it.

One day, Kaveh happens to overhear.
