Summary
It was supposed to be an easy task.
Akaashi was supposed to return to The Three Broomsticks, where he and the other fifth years were knocking about and enjoying a few pints of butterbeer.
He was supposed to retrieve the astronomy text book he had been studying while Bokuto and Kuroo were locked in a drinking contest. Madam Rosmerta would have it waiting for him right at the counter, and Akaashi would pick it up in under a minute.
He was supposed to be back at Hogwarts and in the Ravenclaw common room before the clock struck ten. Akaashi sincerely hoped that the other prefects wouldn't get upset at him for breaking curfew.
Because now— as his life force was sucked from the punctures in his previously unblemished neck, in some shabby alleyway not even two minutes from the pub— Akaashi would wager that none of those things would happen.
