“Hey, bud.” Robert straightened in his seat. He forced himself to smile in order to hide his grimace of pain at the movement. “I'm all good. Just one of those days, y’know?”
Phenomaman stared blankly.
“I do not know.”
Ah.
Right.
“It means that I’m fine. I appreciate the concern, I do, but I should really get back to work now–” Robert started to swivel back toward his monitor, but he didn’t get far. Phenomaman’s hands clamped down on the armrests, locking him in place.
The metal warped slightly under his firm hold.
Phenomaman brought his face right next to the side of Robert’s cheek and inhaled deeply. He frowned, his brow creasing.
“You are injured, Robert. Are you in need of medical aid?”
Robert fucking hates his period. Luckily, SDN's Greatest Hero is there to help soothe his pain!

Summary
Jayce frowned. “You are a bit warm… hm. Maybe we should take a break.”
She leaned over to reach for her desk chair—her skirt riding up with the motion. Viktoria turned her head away from Jayce.
“You have a tear in your stockings,” Viktoria blurted out, then gasped, startled by the lack of her usually impeccable filter.
Jayce’s hand stilled where it clutched the back of the chair, midway through rolling it over. Her nose scrunched akin to a rabbit, confusion (adorably) evident on her face. However, she then glanced down and caught sight of the tear herself.
Her lips quirked downwards in a look of soft annoyance.
“Not again!” Jayce bemoaned. She leaned against the desk, lifting up her leg to further inspect the distressed fabric. Jayce’s skirt rode up impossibly higher. Viktoria could almost catch a glimpse of tan skin, hidden away.

in the aftermath, Vergil takes over Devil May Cry, turning the front into a bookstore and the back rooms into the office for the real business. somewhere along the way, he picks up his son and raises him.
Dante…doesn't have a very good time.

Summary
The first time Viktor playfully called Jayce a "silly boy" it was just a teasing admonishment, really. Then it grew into an inside joke, spoken too lightly to be scolding and too privately to be innocent. Then it turned into an endearment that held a special place in Jayce's heart because nobody else ever called him that. He wasn't anyone's silly boy but Viktor's.
And Jayce was terrified that he would lose that title if Viktor ever discovered that he wasn't, technically, a boy.
