"You shut up, you lazybones."

"You're sleeping."
"That is morale."
Haruma shook his head, but there was no strictness in his gaze.
"Fine," he said, getting up from the table. "Next time Gaku cooks. But under supervision."
"To save the kitchen?" Gozu smirked.
"To call an ambulance."
Gaku threw a napkin at him. Gozu caught it without looking.
Kumanomi looked at all of them. And one thought ran through her head, one she never said out loud.
I want it to always be like this
Or: she misses them more than she’s willing to admit.

Asaki is still saying something to Kei, but Gaku doesn't listen, staring blankly at the ceiling. The man pauses for a moment and looks intently at Gaku. Interest flashes in his eyes again, and he returns to the conversation.
"Don't ask too much, but yes, he's in normal condition, aside from his impertinence, of course." Then, back to Gaku. A light kick with the toe of a boot to his thigh makes him curl into a ball. "Only call me when you've killed Kindaka. Don't disappoint me again, Kei."
