Summary
This is an alternate plot outline for House of Flame and Shadow that fixes the most glaring issues I observed. It's part literary analysis, part therapy.
Picking up where CC2 left off, this outline streamlines much of CC3 and provides some alternate options for key plot elements. The overall arc is the same, but more attention is paid to character development and lore elements crucial to the plot. I also kept characters' personalities more consistent with CC1, and increased the scale and stakes of the final conflict.

Summary
Lidia's tense. Ruhn wants to help. A night of pampering ensues in which they enjoy themselves and contemplate the depth of their relationship.
Takes place after HOFAS, but a bit before before the Ruhn/Lidia bonus chapter from the Target book. Obvious spoilers for CC3.

Summary
It was slow-going, the healing. Slow-going and exhausting and painful and so, so worth it, because in the blood-stained aftermath of all the terrible things that had happened, the good things got to grow.
He saw the truth of this in the sparkle of Chaol’s eyes and heard the truth of this in the ring of his small child’s twinkling laugh. Could feel the warmth of it in Yrene’s embrace, could read the proof of it in Aelin’s long, windswept letters.
Could taste the realness of it on Manon’s tongue, whenever she came to visit, a realness that promised so many wonderful, beautiful new beginnings.

Summary
The thing is, Hope has never really been one for feeling things. She doesn’t do emotions, doesn’t really care for them.
Or other people.
So it’s clear why Amy is a whole situation she doesn’t think she can deal with.
