Summary
Four days after The Battle of Hogwarts, Draco Malfoy arrives unexpectedly at Number 12 Grimmauld Place. While the battle is won and Voldemort is dead, the War is far from over. Alone, with nowhere else to go and nothing to lose, he offers himself up to The Order to go undercover and find the remaining Death Eaters who’ve fled Great Britain after the Battle’s aftermath. In this tenuous new world, second chances are rare, but Draco Malfoy is given his.
Before he leaves, however, he asks for one thing: to send letters back to Hermione Granger while he is undercover.
Perplexed by his request, Hermione reluctantly agrees. While navigating post-war grief and an eighth year at Hogwarts, Draco soon becomes Hermione’s closest confidant, and Hermione learns more about her childhood bully than she ever imagined. Through moments of levity, shared vulnerabilities, heartbreak, and grief, the letters she exchanges with Draco Malfoy will change the future of Hermione’s life in a way she never thought possible.
