Bakugo's Omega was pregnant.
His partner of SIX fucking years.
The person he'd built an entire life with—was carrying his kid and hadn't said a goddamn word about it.
All because six years ago, Bakugo had been a twenty two year old goddamn idiot, who'd said that he didn't want kids.
And now his sweet Todoroki was pregnant, scared, and keeping it all a secret.
But there was no fucking way Bakugo was going to let Todoroki suffer through this, thinking Bakugo didn't want a family.
He just… needed to show him. Prove that he could do this.
That he could be the kind of Alpha Todoroki deserved, the kind of partner who could handle a family and hero work and all of the absolutely fucking terrifying, overwhelming responsibility that came with it.
And he needed to do it without spooking Todoroki into thinking Bakugo had somehow found out, because clearly the guy was already stressed enough.
Okay... Bakugo could do this. He could do fucking anything he put his mind to, that much he knew for sure.
And that way, when Todoroki was ready to tell him, Bakugo would be ready.
He'd be the best goddamn father their kid could ask for.

Summary
At three, Shouto sees his mother beaten for his brother’s weak ice quirk. He sees how Natsu cowers at loud noises weeks later, and how Mama never quite smiles all the way afterwards.
At four, he watches Aniki burn himself away, screaming as his flesh smoulders over, with their father standing over him. He hears the sobbing even through the hands Yumi presses over his ears.
At five, Father gets impatient. He gets bigger and scarier and pushes a little harder every day Shouto doesn’t gain a quirk.
So, at six, Shouto decides powers are dangerous. He takes the spark settled in his chest, and he snuffs it out.
Todoroki Shouto never develops a quirk, and that changes everything.

"H-Halfie?" Shouto managed, the clumsy echo leaving his throat before his defenses could click into place. A flush of embarrassed heat crept up his neck.
"Yeah, Halfie. You got two colors of hair and two colors of eyes," Katsuki said, his voice a rough, resonant scrape. He let his gaze rake over Shouto from his mismatched hair down to his muddy knees. "It’s a logical nickname. Keep up, Dual-Tone."
Or; Shouto expects the training camp to be just another routine under his father’s shadow. But then he meets Katsuki who is loud, angry, and completely unfiltered on the ice. Suddenly, Shouto doesn't want to hide in the shadows anymore. He just wants to reach for the heat, to learn how to breathe, and to be the only thing Katsuki is looking at.
