“You don’t need to do all this to get my attention,” Majin said. X startled out of its rampage when it noticed Majin.
“Apparently I do,” X replied sharply. “I finally got you to come down here, didn’t I?”
“You don’t even know who I am.” Majin grinned as he approached, but X simply rolled its eyes with a low growl of annoyance.
“I know you’ve been watching me for a while. I’m not stupid.”
I’d beg to differ, Majin thought, but didn’t say aloud.

Majin and Lord X, through much trial and error, form an unexpected bond.
Or: Sometimes a family is an eldritch void entity with a Sonic the Hedgehog obsession, a trickster deity with no real concept of human emotions, their son who despises both of them, and the mysterious force inhabiting a discarded vessel who just kinda hangs around.
