Beomgyu has a son, a husband, a family, a cushy house partially in his name, and nothing beyond what's shared with his alpha. Soobin has a flawless report card and an internship all but guaranteed. He knows Beomgyu should step back while he can.
"No, I'm not." Beomgyu peers his head around before laying his palm flat against the inside of Soobin's thigh. "Don't you ever let yourself have a little fun?"

But Yeonjun can barely hear him anymore over the almost deafening roar of his heart in his ears as he takes in the image before him.
It’s Beomgyu, eyes wide and glittering as he stares up at the camera, hair fanned out on the pillow around him like a silky black halo. He’s got a finger on his glossy bottom lip pulling until Yeonjun can see just a hint of teeth and tongue, and in the corner of the picture Yeonjun can make out the way his sweater had slipped off of one shoulder to reveal a pronounced collarbone that catches the low light and only seems to make the sinfully smooth skin look even more enticing.
The overall vibe feels like a sultry sort of invitation, and Yeonjun gets why all of them had playfully complained and given it such a painfully fitting nickname: a bottom selfie.
A kind of selfie he’s never sent Yeonjun.

Beomgyu has always struggled with being an omega. His parents' expectations for him to follow tradition weigh heavily on him. Maybe that's why he's always gone to great lengths to suppress his instincts. But suppressants aren't meant to be taken for so long, certainly not for as long as he has.
His body finally rebels, leaving him scrambling to figure out a plan for his next heat. Spending it alone would be too dangerous, but perhaps not as dangerous as Choi Yeonjun—his sister's ex-boyfriend, and the alpha he’s been in love with for as long as he can remember—coming back into his life.

“How did you get in this time, Yeonjun?” Beomgyu replied, not moving.
Yeonjun tilted his head, red hair falling slightly over his forehead. “The bathroom window. You left it ajar. Again.” He paused, eyes fixed on him. “Sometimes I think you do it on purpose.”

Summary
It’s stupid of Soobin to even entertain this conversation. The day that Beomgyu would actually listen to Soobin’s advice and view it as worthwhile is the day that the world burns to a crisp.
Soobin opens the door, only halfway, but Beomgyu shoves his foot into the gap and kicks it wide open. He doesn’t wait for an invitation before waltzing into Soobin’s kitchen and leaning against the counter.
Soobin sighs before shutting the door behind them and stands cross-armed in front of Beomgyu. A healthy, appropriate distance in front of him.
“What?” Soobin asks, mostly annoyed, partially curious. Beomgyu leaves a lot up to the imagination.
Even in his current outfit, black ripped jeans that hug his thighs in all the right places and an off the shoulder sweater, Soobin’s mind couldn’t help but strip it all off. The sweater, his undershirt, all of it, really.
He hasn’t seen Beomgyu naked in, what, two weeks?

There’s no way he can act normal around Soobin. It’s a sure way to cause problems in their team. After the initial rejection maybe things would blow over, or maybe Soobin would switch dorms, and really demote Beomgyu from his best friend spot.
It’s a horrifying realization. He doesn’t want to lose Soobin. That’s his other half. His life companion.
He’s not even angry anymore.
