Summary
Wade doesn’t expect grand romantic gestures from the likes of Spider-Man. Pete’s so emotionally stunted after all the certified crap he’s been through that Wade’s lucky to get an affectionate “shut up” out of him. The slightest off-duty text might as well be a goddamn love letter.
Which is why it rocks his shit so hard when he grappling-hooks his way up onto their go-to rooftop and Spidey’s there with a bottle of champagne and a dorky little bowtie.
Peter lifts Wade’s mask up an inch and clips a matching bowtie onto the collar of his suit. “Happy Valentine’s Day.”

It’s almost impossible to find a good love story these days. Disney thinks they have a monopoly on fairytales, and heterosexuals think they have a monopoly on Disney, so China’s got a pretty solid lock on me and Spidey slinging off into the sunset on the big screen. If I want accurate representation of the pansexual disaster I am, I have to come to this back-alley dumpster of a website that’s older than most of the characters it makes fuck. (Probably half its users, too. Christ. Go skip ropes or something.)
I’m not even asking for a super intense, NC-17, hardcore portrayal of my love life, just something where we get to kiss or hold hands or something cute like that. I want to share a milkshake with a hot radioactive were-arachnid. I want a fun little romance. That’s all.
