Lu Guang stumbled backward before doubling over, one hand braced against his knee as bile burned at the back of his throat. Nothing came up. There was nothing left in him to throw up anymore.
A shaky breath escaped him instead. He had almost died.
Just moments ago, those things had nearly torn him apart, and somehow, against all odds, he was still standing. He should have felt relieved, ecstatic even.
So why were his hands still shaking?

Summary
Lu Guang doesn't like the popular video game "Map of Dreams" because he's always compared to a character that didn't even make it into the release. Then suddenly he's transported into the world of said video game and has no idea what he's doing or what is going on. How does he suddenly have magic and an entire damn backstory in this world? And why has the tutorial NPC always seemed like so much more than just a character, even before Lu Guang's arrival here? Maybe if he lets him tag along for the main quest...he'll get an answer.
Meanwhile Cheng Xiaoshi is ecstatic about finally being able to go on a quest! Fighting monsters, saving villages, hanging out with his big sis-- but there's just one problem. The third member of their party, the genius of the High Magic Academy, is way too freaking hot! How is Cheng Xiaoshi supposed to focus when the most beautiful creature is always an arm's length away!? And why is he only now realizing how bad he is at flirting!?

Summary
Lu Guang is murmuring something into his shirt, syllables soft and blurred at the edges, and Cheng Xiaoshi tilts his head and tries to catch it.
“—stay—” is what he finally makes out. Or his name. Or don’t go. The words are losing their shape, but Lu Guang’s fingers have found the hem of his shirt and are curling into it, and that, at least, is perfectly clear.
“I’m not going anywhere,” Cheng Xiaoshi says.
It comes out quieter than he means it to. He hadn’t meant it to come out like that—like something confessed.
Or: Lu Guang gets drunk and, stripped of his carefulness, kisses Cheng Xiaoshi. Cheng Xiaoshi has a lot of feelings about this—and the presence of mind to not waste them. The next morning, Lu Guang attempts to avoid the conversation. Cheng Xiaoshi does not allow this.
