McCoy grunts in frustration. He’s not sure what exactly did he expect out of this conversation, but it’s not going according to any of the most vague plans.
“Fine, Mr. Spock. Fine! Have it your way, purely scientific. In the light of the events I have described, I must conclude you’re avoiding me.”
Spock gives him a blank look.

Summary
Written for This Prompt: Post “City on the Edge of Forever”, McCoy starts coming down with a disease which has been extinct for so long that no one aboard ship has the antibodies for it anymore. Kirk and Spock must help him create a vaccine before the entire crew finishes the incubation period, even though that means keeping McCoy on his feet and working even if it kills him.
