Summary
The Reader is Codenamed Siren, a highly talented Lieutenant that gets called to join the Taskforce 141 in the Capture of Vladimir Makarov. In her time with the 141 she gets to know the other masked Lieutenant, who she gets forced on a mission with. It all escalates from there and the two of them learn what it's like to be human, how to live instead of spending the rest of their days as a machine of war, only trained to kill and follow orders. They get a taste of what could be, both desperately clinging onto the only thing they have known all of their lives.
But the past always catches up when you least expect it. But who would you be, if not two of the most dangerous people to piss off?

Summary
Routine is the basis of life, is it not? A cycle that doesn't revolve in a circle, but an ever-changing ribbon that follows time. Simon Riley had always followed a routine. A quiet peace that comes with the mundanity of a regimen.
Wake up, train, eat, brief, repeat.
Wake up, mission, brief, eat, repeat.
Whatever variation his routine consisted of, it was always the same. Even with the gaps between his order, he was content with his solitude in the quieter moments. He had his brothers in arms, yes, but he never felt the need for more—the need for a warm body in his bed or incessant thoughts clouding his mind of love or desire, or the fickle boundary between the two.
Yet, she threatened to uproot it all.
